Toward a Sustainable Future
2025 - 2035
0ur Strategy Framework
🌿Our Mission
In response to the unprecedented environmental, social, and economic challenges in Syria, Al Tatweer Foundation, a private, non-profit Syrian institution, translates its mission into practical programs in the following areas:
• Promoting active citizenship and community participation
• Supporting community empowerment and innovation
• Developing sustainable livelihoods and a sustainable economy
• Enhancing climate resilience and protecting natural resources
This is achieved through effective, integrative partnerships and a deep commitment to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles as a comprehensive governance framework. This approach aims to build resilient communities and contribute to achieving sustainable development and peacebuilding.
🌱Our Vision
"A Sustainable, Prosperous, and Vibrant World."
We look
forward to the future of Syria; where life is renewed, prosperity is
widespread, and natural resources are safeguarded.
We look
forward to strong, resilient communities that are in control of their own
destiny, where people live in harmony with each other and with the nature
around them, achieving well-being in its economic, social, and environmental
dimensions.
We
recognize that this local dream is an integral part of our global commitment,
for the planet is our one and only common home. Any positive impact we create
on Syrian soil will transcend its borders to contribute to peace and prosperity
for the region and the world.
🍃What We Believe In
Our Core Values
Despite our diversity and the variety of our specializations, we are united by shared values that empower us to shape the future. Our motto: Respect – Work – Achievement
Respect
is a commitment we embody in every decision. We respect people and engage communities in co-creating solutions. We respect the Earth, seeing its resources as a trust, not ownership. We respect differences by building on the richness of diverse cultures and experiences.
Work
is a mission, not a job. We work smart, blending cutting-edge technologies with local wisdom. We work with agility, embracing a mindset of learning from experience and lessons learned. We work transparently, making our performance an open book for all.
Achievement
is not measured in numbers, but in stories that inspire others. Our achievement is the smile of a child drinking clean water when a farmer becomes a partner in our innovations. Our achievement is the breath of the land as it turns green again, and a grandmother reminiscing about forests that bring back memories of her childhood. Our achievement is the pride of a team that makes the impossible possible.
🌱Theory of change
We work with our hands and minds—because the future isn’t built with words, it’s built with action
Al Tatweer Foundation is guided by an integrated theory of change, believing that sustainable transformation is achieved through the interaction of interconnected and cascading circles. It begins with empowering the individual as a cornerstone, moves through building communities capable of leading their own development, to influencing institutional policies, and culminates in weaving broad strategic alliances that ensure the sustainability and scalability of impact.
Circle of Individuals: Empowering individuals, building their environmental and developmental awareness, and promoting active citizenship.
Tools and Strategies for Change: Empowerment and citizenship, training, awareness-raising, capacity building, supporting individual initiatives.
