November 2023

Al Safir Hotel - Homs

On the occasion of National Environment Day 2023, under the theme "Together to Restore Our Environment," and in partnership with the Tamkeen Project and the Charity Construction Association, the event unfolded as follows: A discussion forum and an exhibition of entrepreneurial projects that attracted those interested in entrepreneurship in general and green entrepreneurship in particular in Homs Governorate. The forum took place over two days, Wednesday and Thursday, November 8-9, during which the challenges and problems faced by entrepreneurs, especially in the field of green entrepreneurship, were discussed. The forum also resulted in a set of proposals and solutions aimed at empowering entrepreneurs and developing their ventures. An exhibition of small projects supported by the Tamkeen Project or by associations and organizations in Homs was held throughout the forum days. The exhibition opened its doors to the public after 4:00 PM at the Safir Homs Hotel.

(Badu – Warde – Jabriya) - Homs

In partnership with the Aga Khan Foundation, 5,000 seedlings of fruit and forest trees were distributed to 250 beneficiaries/farmers in the villages of (Badu – Warde – Jabriya) to encourage farmers to cultivate local varieties adapted to the region's climate.

This project aims to build a collaborative framework between environmental organizations to analyze and improve the environmental context in Syria. The initiative includes several stages such as workshops, mapping exercises, and a culminating environmental forum.
